1. Introduction

Netraptor ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Netraptor Chrome extension. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our extension. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our extension.

2. Local Data Processing

Netraptor is designed to work locally on your machine. All captured data, sessions, settings and filter rules are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB and chrome.storage). It is never sent to Branch42 or to us, and there are no accounts.

The Netraptor extension does not include analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind.

This website, netraptor.dev, is separate from the extension. It uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure visits, such as which pages are viewed and where visitors come from. Google may set cookies for this. It never sees data captured by the extension.

Exports (Postman, HAR, OpenAPI, curl, and similar formats) are files that you download to your own device. Authorization headers and cookies are stripped from exports by default.

3. Information Netraptor Captures

Netraptor records data only on the sites you turn recording on for. Chrome asks for access to each site separately, and nothing is recorded on other sites. On those sites Netraptor may capture the following, and keeps it only on your device:

• Network Requests: URLs, headers, cookies, request and response bodies, and timing
• Console Logs: Messages written to the page's browser console
• Crawl Activity: Crawls visit pages on the site you chose and may fill forms with test data. Forms with password or payment card fields are skipped.
• Licence Details: If you activate Pro, your licence key and, if you provided one at checkout, your email address, stored locally

4. How We Use Your Information

Information is used only for:

• Operating the features described above, such as recording, crawling, filtering, and exporting on your device
• Validating your Pro licence

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information, and captured data is never sent to us.

Dodo Payments (Pro licence). Pro payments are made on Dodo Payments' checkout (checkout.dodopayments.com). Dodo Payments handles your payment details under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card details. When you activate a licence, and when the extension re-validates it, Netraptor sends your licence key and an activation label (the word "Netraptor", your operating system name, and the date) to Dodo Payments' licence API. This is the only data Netraptor sends to a third party.

Uninstall survey. When you remove the extension, Chrome opens netraptor.dev/uninstall. The page address includes the extension version number and nothing else. The survey on that page is optional and hosted by Tally, which stores any answers you submit under its own privacy policy.

Optional local MCP server. Only if you turn it on in Settings, the extension connects to a server on your own machine (127.0.0.1) so your AI coding agent can query your recorded sessions. That data does not leave your machine through Netraptor.

6. Security of Your Information

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data. Since Netraptor operates locally on your machine, the security of captured data depends on your device's security. We recommend keeping your browser and operating system updated with the latest security patches.

7. Sensitive Data Considerations

When using Netraptor, be aware that you may capture sensitive information such as authentication tokens, API keys, personal data, or financial information. You are responsible for protecting this data and ensuring its responsible use and disposal.

8. Data Retention

Captured data stays on your device until you delete it. You have full control over when it is deleted. We do not hold copies of it.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Your data is on your device, so you can view and delete it at any time. Delete sessions in the extension to remove their captured data, or remove the extension to delete everything it stored.

10. Third-Party Links

While using Netraptor, you may interact with third-party websites and services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to external websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services before sharing personal information.

11. Children's Privacy

Netraptor is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete such information immediately.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how we protect your information.
